- Already own in a city you like
- Lived there before (know neighborhood)
- May Retire there
- Kid’s college
- Job may transfer you there

  • Colleges, Hospitals, Jobs
  • Businesses (Research Triangle or Toyota Plant example)
  • Past, Present and Projected Growth (research) Steady Growth!!
  • State and Local taxes
  • Housing Trends (sitting on market, home prices, volume, etc.)
  • You will see trends during your research

  • Property Managers (great tool and possibly the best tool)
  • Realtors
  • Can search by zip code
  • Amenities: Schools, Golf, Malls, Jobs, Hospitals, Community Centers, etc.

  • SFR, Condo, Duplex, Multi Unit
  • Garage, Fenced Yard, Low Maintenance,
  • Rents in target area (Realtor.com, Craigslist.org if avail, etc)
  • Price to Rent Ratio (Realtor.com vs. Realtor.com and Zillow.com)
